They will be serving authentic Edo-style sushi, backed by impeccable technique, in a relaxed standing style. Edomae sushi and the story of Ryogoku

Nigiri sushi originated in Ryogoku.
Nigiri sushi , now loved all over the world, has its roots in the late Edo period (1824) in Ryogoku , a center of entertainment at the time.
In those days, sushi was " fast food " that impatient Edoites would quickly grab from street stalls. In an era without refrigerators, the craftsman's " work " of curing fish with vinegar and marinating it in soy sauce to make it delicious built the tradition of Edomae sushi.
While modern sushi has become increasingly upscale, we aim to recreate the " original form of a sushi restaurant." In Ryogoku , a place enveloped in the excitement of sumo wrestling, please enjoy authentic sushi prepared with refined Edo-style techniques by the chefs of the Michelin-listed restaurant " Sushikawa ," in a relaxed standing style.
