Hello! This time, we'd like to introduce a special pop-up event that sushi lovers won't want to miss, available only in September 2026 .
For just 10 days, a highly-regarded sushi restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide will be popping up on the waterfront of Ryogoku, an area that retains much of the atmosphere of old Edo! How about enjoying some exquisite sushi on the waterfront in the pleasant evening breeze while feeling the excitement of the September Grand Sumo Tournament? It's a truly Edo-style experience!
🍣 Experience the "true essence of a sushi restaurant" in Ryogoku, the birthplace of nigiri sushi.
Nigiri sushi, now loved all over the world, actually has its roots in Ryogoku during the late Edo period. Back then, it was a "fast food" that impatient Edoites would quickly grab from street stalls.
This event is a wonderful project that recreates the "true essence of a sushi restaurant" in modern-day Ryogoku!
The chefs showcasing their skills are from "Tachigui Sushi Sushikawa," a standing-only sushi restaurant located in Sasazuka, Tokyo. A chef with proven skills, who has even been featured in the Michelin Guide, will travel to your location and prepare authentic Edo-style sushi right in front of you. While sushi has become increasingly upscale in modern times, here you can enjoy "high-quality yet unpretentious pieces" in a casual standing-only style.
🍣 What are the course details and prices?
For meals, we offer an "Omakase Nigiri Course" where you can enjoy ingredients carefully selected by our chefs.
Chef's Choice Nigiri Sushi Course (10 pieces) : 5,800 yen (tax included)
Chef's Choice Nigiri Sushi Course (13 pieces) : 7,800 yen (tax included)
*Please note that sushi cannot be ordered individually. *A "one-drink minimum order" is in place, and the venue offers a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, from carefully selected drinks such as champagne, Kyoto's "Ki no Bi" gin, and Chivas Regal Mizunara highballs, to specialty coffee.
📅 Event Dates (Limited to 10 days!)
This is a limited-time opening coinciding with the September Grand Sumo Tournament. It will only be open in the evenings throughout the entire period.

With excellent access from the station, it's perfect for dinner after work, sightseeing in Ryogoku, or watching sumo wrestling.
📝 Regarding reservations and same-day use
While "advance reservations" are recommended to guarantee a seat, thankfully, you can also drop in without a reservation on the day!
For advance reservations : Please make a reservation online through the dedicated reservation website (credit card prepayment required; overseas-issued cards accepted). *Telephone reservations are not accepted.
For same-day use : Please come directly to the venue. (Please note that you may have to wait during peak hours.)
The biggest appeal of standing-only sushi restaurants is that you can enjoy Michelin-starred sushi on the very day you decide you want some delicious sushi! However, since this is a popular event, we recommend making a reservation in advance through the reservation page on their official website if you want to enter smoothly!
Enjoy the extraordinary experience of savoring Michelin-starred cuisine in a relaxed, waterside setting, all while standing and eating. Why not visit and create some special memories this autumn?
